1. Acceptance and scope
These Website Terms govern use of sfbureau.com and the public links it provides to Signal Forensics Bureau (SFB) forms and bookings. By using the site or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
SFB is operated by Shyan Rittik in New South Wales, Australia. Paid casework is governed by a separate written scope, proposal, invoice, or engagement agreement. If those terms conflict with these Website Terms, the engagement-specific terms prevail for that work.
SFB may accept inquiries and remote engagements from clients outside Australia. Unless the engagement-specific terms state otherwise, these Website Terms and the governing law stated below apply to those interactions, without excluding any mandatory rights that apply under local law.
2. Website information
The site describes a diagnostic signal strategy service and publishes satirical public commentary. Website material is general information and creative commentary, not legal, financial, medical, psychological, technical, or other regulated professional advice.
Prices shown as “from” amounts are indicative starting points, not automatic offers. Scope, price, timing, and deliverables depend on the material submitted and must be confirmed in writing.
3. Private case inquiries and fit calls
Submitting the Private Case Intake form, sending an email, or booking a Fit Call does not create a client relationship, require SFB to accept the matter, reserve capacity, or create an obligation to provide work.
A private engagement begins only when SFB has accepted the case in writing, the scope and commercial terms have been agreed, and any required payment or deposit has been received.
You confirm that information supplied is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have authority to share submitted materials. Please identify confidential, restricted, or third-party material before submission. Private submissions will be handled as private business material, but a formal non-disclosure agreement applies only if separately agreed.
4. Public specimen submissions
The Public Specimen form is for artifacts already visible to the public. Do not use it to disclose private, leaked, unlawfully obtained, or personally sensitive material.
A submission does not transfer ownership of the artifact, guarantee selection, or require a response. SFB may decline, archive, edit, excerpt, link to, quote, or discuss publicly available material where permitted by law and reasonably necessary for commentary, criticism, review, parody, satire, education, or public case-file presentation.
Public autopsies are commentary on public-facing artifacts. They are not claims of criminal conduct, professional incompetence, or unlawful behavior by the people or organizations involved.
5. Intellectual property
The SFB name, visual identity, website copy, public case files, original frameworks, methods, lenses, templates, and other original material are owned by SFB or used with permission. They may not be reproduced, republished, sold, scraped into a competing product, or presented as another person's work without written permission, except where applicable law permits.
You retain ownership of materials you submit. SFB retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, diagnostic apparatus, know-how, templates, and general skills. Ownership or license terms for private deliverables will be stated in the relevant engagement terms.
6. Fees, cancellations, and consumer rights
Fees, deposits, milestones, revisions, delivery dates, cancellation terms, and any refund arrangements for paid work will be set out in writing before casework begins.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Fit Calls may be rescheduled or canceled through the booking system. Repeated non-attendance or misuse may result in future bookings being declined.
7. Results, implementation, and liability
SFB provides analysis, judgment, framing, and recommendations. Strategic, creative, commercial, audience, or market outcomes depend on many factors outside SFB's control. No particular increase in revenue, conversion, recognition, approval, memorability, or public reaction is guaranteed.
To the extent permitted by law, SFB is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or speculative loss arising from use of the website, reliance on general website material, third-party services, or decisions made without an accepted engagement. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
8. External services, acceptable use, and general provisions
The site links to services operated by Tally, Cal.com, Google, and other providers. SFB does not control their availability, security, or terms. Review their policies before using them.
You must not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious files, impersonate another person, use the forms for harassment or spam, or submit material in breach of law or another person's rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. SFB may update these Terms by publishing a revised version with a new effective date.
Questions may be sent to intake@sfbureau.com.
These are website-level terms. Before paid casework begins, the Bureau should issue a short engagement document covering the exact scope, price, timetable, revisions, confidentiality, intellectual property, cancellation, and payment arrangements for that case.
